A rich man stands, with scales in hand, happily measuring out pentacles. Outside his window, hands clutch and reach but do not grasp the pentacles falling near them. The rich man seems willing enough to give, but does not pay attention to where he is giving.
He lets resources fall by the wayside and does not attend to the need directly outside his window. Unlike the Lovers in the major Arcana VI, he is not making balanced choices. He is squandering his gifts while deluding himself that he is charitable.
